WHY OUR CLIENTS LOVE US
Our mission is to provide chefs the best tasting produce from our region.
We offer same-day service, multiple deliveries throughout the week, fresh, local produce and 24/7 availability.
We pride ourselves on putting in endless energy and time into growing and sourcing the best produce that our customers are proud to put into a dish.
Our clients love us because we are the only provider in St. Louis with red, ripe and ultra-flavorful tomatoes any time of year. Their customers recognize the quality of tomatoes and other produce we bring to them. Many clients tell us that their customers come back to their businesses and waiters have said that their gratuities increase because of our tomatoes.
OUR STORY
We are Tony’s Family Farms, aka Tony Tomato, a company dedicated to delivering hyper-fresh, mouth-watering delicious produce year-round, rain or shine. Our business began when Mr. Fortune, a man who grew up in the fertile Missouri River Bottom, gifted our family with a small field to grow our own vegetables in the summers so that we could save a few pennies and eat healthier. When a professional chef suggested that we could bring our produce to establishments in the area, we seized the opportunity to expand.
We started out small, but have seen major growth over the last decade. We now deliver thousands of pounds of fruits, vegetables and herbs to dozens of professional kitchens in the St. Louis area. We have embraced the USDA appointment and have learned so much that is translating into immediate success for other framers and benefits at our current farm at Defiance Ridge Vineyards. We have exciting new offerings of tropical plants in the spring and fall favorites of massive pumpkins and beautiful mums. We are blessed to be a farmer that operates 12 months out of the year.
Our produce is sourced from not only our land, but from many like-minded farmers in the Midwest.
